Pokemon Crystal Cheats

I originally planned to use an emulator to trade with pokemon blue on my computer, but none of them seem to work for Mac os x. I then decided to resort to gameshark, and use the ‘catch any pokemon cheat’, but I heard that a master code/ activation code was needed in order for cheats to work, and I’d like to know what it is. (though it wasn’t guaranteed that gameshark would work in Mac os x.) Suggestions would be appreciated too.
