So here’s a battle with FloFlo from Abras-Asylum: www.abras-asylum.com Sorry I haven’t posted a video all week, this week has been extremely busy for me and I don’t know if I’ll be able to find much time this semester to post videos except for the weekend, so we’ll see. This is a Roulette battle, and Roulettes are always interesting because old Pokemon you have almost forgotten about seem to come up, and both teams usually end up being pretty bad. As for me, my opponent picked a Weezing that I remember being given to me all the way back in Gen III… pretty crazy. Leave a comment about one Pokemon or strategy that got nerfed from Gen III to Gen IV. Round 2 of my Monocolor tournament, get your battles done if you’re in it!: www.youtube.com Take a look at my alternate channel, where I’m currently doing a Chrono Trigger playthrough: www.youtube.com Follow me on Twitter: www.twitter.com Anyway, rate, subscribe and leave a comment.

With the highly-anticipated release of HeartGold and SoulSilver in Japan in September, more and more Pokemon fans are getting psyched up for the games. So why not take a stroll down memory lane and watch some of the highlights from the original games, Gold and Silver. This is Marriland’s Silver Adventure! In this episode, I water, fight, and catch the dancing tree Pokemon, Sudowoodo, make my way to Ecruteak City, fight against my rival, and then take on the dancing Kimono Girls and their Eeveelutions to get HM03 (Surf)! I’ll be posting Silver videos over the next week or two as well as tweeting about my playthrough as I play on my Twitter feed: – www.twitter.com I’ll also be posting tons of HeartGold and SoulSilver stuff both there (you might not want to follow me if you don’t want spoilers!) and on my website as the games are released: – pokemon.marriland.com One last thing these Silver videos are not meant to be a “follow me through EVERYTHING” style video like Diamond and Yellow are. They’re going to be cut and condensed to show you the most memorable moments and stuff you should know for HeartGold and SoulSilver. However, a lot of that is because I’ll be covering in even more depths HeartGold and SoulSilver (more akin to my Platinum US videos or even Yellow, depending on how much I can talk during the Japanese text), so I don’t want to be too repetitive. Enjoy the videos!

Another One Type Team except this one is Fire. it has performed the best out of all of my One Type Teams. Here they are on a scale from one to ten. -Fire: 7-8 -Poison: 5-6 -Grass: 1-2 Speaking of One Type Teams(OTT for now on), here are my guidelines for making one. -Must have a Pokemon with a Pure Type. (Exception: Flying Team, there are no pure Flying types not including Arceus) -Pokemon must have the same type. (Well, duh) -Only one legend allowed (Of the same type, of course) -Still follows my Uber/OU rules. -I can not use the same pokemon in two teams like I can’t use Charizard in both my Flying and Fire teams, yet there are some exceptions, however. And that’s it. The beginning of this battle is rather ironic for my opponent. I use Sunny Day and then Thunder Punch his Floatzel and it hardly was able to take it. Then Snorlax (,which has a horrible Sp. Attack by the way) used Surf which did nothing to Fire types thanks to Sunny Day, yet it wipes out Floatzel. After that it just gets worse for my opponent, I knew Weezing was going to blow, so I used Substitute on Charizard to protect from Explosion and said goodbye to Infernape while it dragged Snorlax with it. It was easy from there. I used Charizard(Shiny), Infernape, Houndoom, and Entei(unseen). My opponent used Snorlax, Floatzel, Weezing, and Rhyperior.

Here’s a match against the infamous mUdQuAza, a fun and popular Youtube battler. I was looking for a good Monocolor match, and he accepted my challenge on MSN. A Monocolor match is when you must use 6 Pokemon of the same color, no other restrictions apply. We decided to ban blue and use the official Pokedex colors to decide on the colors of our Pokemon: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net I decided to use Green, he took Yellow. Anyway, this was an insanely long and close match! The first Pokemon didn’t even die until 15-20 minutes in, and the whole battle was so long I had to x4 the entire battle… and even then its 10+ minutes long! A fun watch for sure, so I hope you enjoy it. Oh yeah… due to an unfortunate occurrence, I was forced to shave my beard…. don’t worry, I’ll grow it back but until then today’s question of the day is this… do I look better with our without my beard? Make sure you check my opponent out. He is already very popular on Youtube, and this is because he’s a good battler and a fun guy, so here’s the link: www.youtube.com Take a look at my alternate channel, where I’m currently doing a Chrono Trigger playthrough: www.youtube.com Follow me on Twitter: www.twitter.com Anyway, rate, subscribe and leave a comment.

In this episode, I take on the Goldenrod Gym, fight a bunch of Normal-type Pokemon, battle Whitney and her fearsome Miltank (and a Clefairy), and get a Squirtbottle to make a dancing tree angry at me!

This is the fight against Bertha, the second of the Elite Four. She specializes in Ground-type Pokemon. Since her fight got to be a bit lengthy, it’s cut into two parts. This is the second part. The fights against the Elite Four will be perilous and gruelling, particularly if you are at a lower level. I’d recommend being at least at Level 50 if you want to be able to take them out. Using Legendary Pokemon like Dialga, Palkia, or Azelf will be a significant help to you, but I am going to try and take the Elite Four on without them and at a lower level. If you are having trouble beating the Elite Four, you might want to watch this video to get an idea of how often overlooked items – X Attack, X Defend, X Speed, etc. – can help you win pretty much any fight with enough strategy. It turns the fight into a lot more of a strategic one than a destroy-them-all fight. Yes, I know that my Pokemon are at a low level and that I probably “didn’t do as good as you” or “OHKO every Pokemon” or whatever. I’ve played through Diamond and Pearl (not this version) many times and it’s always boring ripping them apart. This is not only done as a personal challenge, but to help out people that are struggling with the Elite Four rather than just showing off how “macho” or whatever I am.
